What if Grand Rapids had its own Tarot deck? Wonder no more!
This is card #14, "TEMPERANCE" in my drawing series inspired by the beating heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This drawing is done in the style of Pamela Colman Smith, illustrator of the Rider-Waite-Colman deck. It is based on the Fishladder structure that leads into the Grand River, a hallmark of the city. The structure allows salmon and other fish to "climb" from one level of the river to another during their travels. The border includes architectural motifs and the Channel 13 Weatherball. The card represents synthesis and balance, the mixing of elements to make something new. Prints are matte finish and do not come with a frame. Choose from 8x10" (20.3x25.4cm) or 11x14" (28x35.5cm).
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil, weight: 189 g/m²
• Prints arrive ROLLED, please unroll carefully
• Paper is sourced from Japan
